Order Passed by DCDRF,Jharsuguda stands in State CDR Commission, Cuttack .

Hon'ble District Consumer Forum, Jharsuguda had pleased to pass an Order, dtd. 13.02.2013, on an ATM case, was appealed by the O.P (State Bank of India, Jharsuguda Branch). The O.P (Bank) had been directed to make suitable arrangements to provide security guard in the ATM Booth installed by him for better protection of his consumer / customers alongwith to pay the disputed amount of Rs.30,000/- only with Rs.3,000/- only towards compensation, failing which interest @8% shall be charged till realisation of amounts.

The O.P(Bank) preferred appealed before State CDR Commission, Cuttack where Honb'le State CDR Commission held that, "one can withdraw Rs.40,000/- only per day from ATM. But it is a fact that generally one can withdraw an amount of Rs.10,000/- to Rs.15,000/- at a time from ATM. So one can withdraw Rs.30,000/- in two attempt and not in one attempt" and dismissed the appeal by confirming the order of District Forum, Jharsuguda.
