Order of this District Consumr Forum on ATM case stands and confirmed by Hon'ble NCDRC, New Delhi

Order passed by this Hon'ble Consumer Forum, Jharsuguda bearing Consumer Complain Case No. 29 / 2012, dtd. 13.02.2013 on fraudulant withdrawn of money from ATM...... dispute, had been confirmed by the Hon'ble State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, Cuttack and the same order stands and also confirmed by the Hon'ble National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, New Delhi (hereinafter referred as NCDRC)  bearing Revision Petition No. 2415 / 2014 on dtd. 01.08.2014.

 

In this case, the Hon'ble National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission has observed the landmark judgment of Hon'ble Apex Court in "Gurgaon Gramin Bank Vs. Khazani and another, IV (2012) CPJ 5 (SC) as ...............we condemn this type of practice, unless the stake is very high or the matter affects large number of persons or affects a general policy of the Bank which has far reaching consequences ............ Let God save the Gramins."

 

And held that, "Above quoted observations of the Apex Court, with all force are fully applicable to the facts and circumstances of the present case. Moreover, both the fora below have given findings of the facts, which are against the petitioner."

 

The above mentioned landmark judgment of Hon'ble NCDRC, New Delhi shall definietely save from the life and safety of the esteemed consumers of the locality.
